An Experimental Study on Anti-Caries Effects of Fluorides

Abstract
|
|
|
The purpose of this study was to analyse the prophylactic effect of fluoride compound to the dental caries.
The NaF, & SnF2 were applied on the enamel surface with various concentration and acidity, and
measured the reduction effect of phosphorus discharge out of enamel. The results were as follows:
1) At the higher acidity the stronger reduction effect of phosphorus discharge out of enamel by fluoride compound was observed.
2) The reduction effect of phosphorus discharge out of enamel by the 8.0^?10.0% SnF2 solution was stronger than the 1.8-´3.59°%0 of NaF solution.
3) The higher concentration of SnFz and NaF the stronger reduction effect of phosphorus discharge out of enamel was observed.
